Valerie,

We're with you on that one. Richard's stocking still gets hung at Christmas and always will. I think digging in to see what was in his stocking was the first thing he did on Christmas morning.

They're great memories, just wish we could all have more of them.

I don't mean to bother you so much..but SO many things you are saying about Richard remind me of my Joshua who passed away with cancer in 2008,He was like a little kid EVERY Christmas...he made it SO fun ! We also have younger kids, kind of oops and ut oh..lol..and we were running low on money about 2 Christmas's before Josh passed and I told him we were not going to fill stockings for the big kids..only the smaller ones,haha..he started acting like that was the silliest thing ever..he was still my kid too big or small..(of course I didn't tell him it was a financial thing) but just the thought that he wouldnt have a stocking..and to this day..3 years after he passed..I hang a stocking for him at Christmas..I wouldn't dare not : )

Once the tree was up it didn't matter what time of day it was, when Richard came in he would plug in the lights. Day or night, if he was there those lights were on! He saw to it.
